Functional Mobility

This video will be focusing on functional mobility as it pertains to the aging adult.

You will learn about what functional mobility is, how it impacts our day to day living and things that we can do to make sure that we maintain the ability to participate in meaningful activities.

​*Guidelines are just for older adults*
When older adults cannot do 150 minutes of medium-intensity aerobic activity a week because of functional activity tolerance and/or limitations, they should be as physically active as their abilities and conditions allow.

Muscle Strength and Bone Health

This video will be focusing on muscle strength and bone health as it pertains to the aging adult. You will learn about the importance of muscle strength and how it helps in reducing some areas of potential concerns such as injuries and falls. Amongst various other areas you will also learn about the importance of bone health proper sleep, balanced diet, and how  strengthening exercises can boost endurance and ensure independence as we age.
